We originally missed this film when it dropped about two months ago. However, the film represents a great step forward in the possibilities of using AI tools. The experimentation showcases the potential of AI to tell a compelling story. We were emotionally invested, and it wasn’t until halfway through that we realized it was written by ChatGPT. The project began with the generation of the script, scene directions, and prompts for still images and video, all of which were handled by Chat GPT 4.0, OpenAI's state-of-the-art language model. This AI was instrumental in crafting the narrative, setting the scenes, and generating the prompts that guided the visual development of the film.

The narration was provided by an AI rendition of Allen Watts' voice, created using Eleven Labs’ AI speech synthesis tool. This tool was able to capture the unique cadence and tone of Watts' voice, adding a layer of depth and authenticity to the narration.

The scene development and reference still images were generated using Midjourney, an AI text-to-image generator. Midjourney was used to create a visual representation of the prompts generated by Chat GPT 4.0, providing a visual guide for the film's scenes.

The video creation was handled by Runway GEN 2, an AI tool that excels in generating high-quality video content. This tool was used to bring the still images and scene directions to life, creating a seamless and engaging visual narrative.
