This is an Open Call to film schools, studios, and artists! AI on the Lot is hosting a curated 8-hour creative sprint at our headquarters on the Culver City plaza. Sit down with best-in-class creatives, focus, and create something amazing at our Sunday Sprint! This event has limited capacity and is selective.

The Prompt

This Sunday Sprint is focused on animation. Over an 8-hour period of deep focus, you will make an animated short.

Participants can join as individuals or teams. You will draw a random number corresponding to a year (10,000 BC, 1265, 2040, etc.) and will be challenged to develop a short pilot episode about someone's first day of a new job in that year.

The session will begin with a short talk from animation executive Joel Kuwahara (Bob's Burger, Simpsons, Duncanville) and Claudio Jimenez (Founder of Mighty Animation studio).

The Schedule

10:00am - Fireside chat with Joel Kuwahara

10:40am - Draw Years from the History Hat

11:00am - Start working!

Our Reputation

AI on the Lot hosts an annual film contest "Cinema Synthetica" each year for only 9 filmmakers. Every year, the participants go on to get hired at top studios like Promise, Amazon MGM Studios, Luma, Asteria, Innovative Dreams as well as start their own companies. For the first time, we're making our talent platform a

year-round platform with Sunday Sprints.
