Part of the Austin AI Film Festival.
The Global Virtual GenJam
October 8 to 10
The Austin AI Film Festival, Machine Cinema, and AITX are running a 48-hour GenJam the week before the festival. It is free and fully virtual, so you can take part from anywhere in the world. Seats are limited, so entry is by application, and we review portfolios to decide who gets in.
You choose one of two tracks.
Engineering, sponsored by Texel AI. Build a compelling app or solution on the Texel API. This one is for developers.
Short Film, sponsored by Cannon Studio. A one to five minute short film on the prompt Go Your Own Way. Any genre, any style. Keep Austin weird.
What you win
The winning work from each track is shown on the big screen at Zach Theater in Austin on Saturday, October 17, and the winners are recognized at the Austin AI Film Festival awards show that night. The musicians pick the Music Video winner from a shortlist, and each sponsor picks the winner of its track. Each track has its own prize, in cash, credits, or both.
When
One 48-hour window between October 8 and 10. We send the exact start time to everyone accepted.
Where
Fully virtual. The meeting link goes out to everyone accepted.
