An international festival for films that use AI to bring memory, history, imagination, censorship, exile, inaccessible realities, or difficult-to-film stories to the screen.
I’Mpossible Film Festival sees AI not as a showcase for technology, but as a tool in service of storytelling. The festival focuses on films that bring memory, history, imagination, censorship, exile, inaccessible realities or difficult-to-film stories to the screen.
These stories may not have found a way to be made through conventional methods because of limited budgets, lack of access, unsafe conditions, censorship, political pressure, migration, displacement or geographical distance.
Filmmakers must retain creative and editorial control of their work and be transparent about why and how AI has been used. Human vision, storytelling, and impact matter more to us than technical display.
