5 of the Latest AI Film News Updates

Every single week is full of brand-new AI Film News headlines. The landscape of AI filmmaking is moving at lightning speed—and this week brought a slew of new tools and updates that could change different parts of how people tell stories.

From generating 60-second video clips to building interactive avatars or even text-to-motion graphics tools, these AI Film Tool updates are giving filmmakers more power than ever before.

Here’s a breakdown of the most exciting AI Film News updates and tools making waves right now.

1. Hedra’s Real-Time AI Avatars

Hedra has introduced a real-time avatar experience that lets you actually talk with AI-generated characters. They teamed up with LiveKit to make this happen and this new feature from Hedra enables you to talk with your AI characters for just $0.05/min, making it one of the most affordable solutions on the market.

Now you’re probably wanting to know why this real-time AI character chat matters to you as a creator or filmmaker, right?

It matters because this could offer incredible pre-production potential. Instead of having to wait until after post-production to see the final render, you can see a version in real-time.

Think of it like loading a LUT into your camera and shooting based on the visual as opposed to only throwing it on in post.

2. LTX teases 60-Second Generations

One of the biggest constraints in AI video generation has been clip duration. Most tools max out at 10–15 seconds. LTX studio said that the model they are planning to release next is going to be able to generate 60 second long video clips. This will be the first one with that ability that anybody has released to the public.

We tested the current model against some of the other biggest using their extend features and it didn’t really stand out. LTX still struggles with motion consistency over longer shots. Compared to Runway and Kling, its realism breaks down into cartoonish outputs.

We will be super curious to test out their latest model whenever they release it.

3. Veo 3’s Continuous “Oner” Trick

Google’s Veo 3 remains the most powerful video generation model available today. And with a little creative workaround using SceneBuilder, you can string together multiple clips to create a 60-second continuous shot—a true "owner." Big shoutout to Vaigueman on YouTube for this Hack!

The trick involves saving the final frame of one generation and using it as the starting frame for the next, repeating this process with consistent prompts. While it's not seamless, it’s shockingly effective for such a workaround.

4. Enhancor: Realistic Skin Texturing

Let’s be honest: most AI-generated portraits still have a slightly plastic, airbrushed look. Enhancor changes that. This tool uses advanced upscaling and selective detailing to enhance pores, skin tone, and facial features in your images without artifacts or warping. It’s not the most user-friendly interface, but the output quality is amazing.

Workflow highlights:

  • Use MidJourney or another AI image tool

  • Upscale inside MidJourney

  • Import to Enhancor and select “Detailed” mode

  • Preserve eyes and lips for natural realism

Realism in AI faces is a must, especially for close-ups or character-centric posters. Enhancor’s natural finish gives your AI stills a professional, magazine-quality edge.

5. Dora: Text-to-Motion Graphics

Dora is a brand-new platform that uses simple text prompts to generate clean, responsive motion graphics for presentations, videos, and data visualizations.

From animated bar charts to simulated chat conversations, Dora is super intuitive and outputs video files ready for editing or posting.

This is a big deal because AI Video Generattor are currently awful at creating realistic, accurate, and captivating Motiong Graphics. This is a huge help for filmmakers.

6. Mirage: Real-Time World Transformation

Decart’s recently launched a tool called that might be the most fun of the bunch. Mirage transforms your webcam environment in real time, applying artistic styles like Minecraft or impressionist painting to your live video.

Built with autoregressive techniques (each frame builds on the last), Mirage is fast, smooth, and immersive—offering a glimpse at the future of live AI video transformation.

Imagine using this in real-time virtual production or even live streaming. It’s a fun novelty now, but the foundational tech could become essential in the years ahead.

7. AI Films of the Week

Below are some of our favorite AI films we have seen recently.

  • Hanaa by Seif Abdalla
A deeply personal short crafted with Runway Studios that recreates moments from the filmmaker's mother's life.

  • Perfect Dark by Kavin the Kid
Visually stunning and sonically immersive, this project showcases the power of curation and editing in AI filmmaking.

  • The Cop Files: Part VI by Neural Viz
A hilarious and clever entry in an ongoing parody series, using Runway’s Act-Two for stylized character animation.
