48 hours. 120 participants. One challenge: to create the film of the future.
On May 29, the 48h AI Film Challenge kicks off at the Warsaw Film School — an intense creative jam for everyone who wants to see what storytelling looks like in the age of artificial intelligence.
Participants will have exactly two days to create a short film (1–3 minutes) using AI tools — from image generation to voice and sound design 🤖
This is not a regular competition — it is an experiment, a laboratory of ideas, and a space to meet people who want to make cinema differently.
Each participant will receive access to tools from technology partners, including Magnific.ai and ElevenLabs, as well as the opportunity to take part in workshops, consultations, and additional accompanying events. On site, what will matter most is: imagination, emotion, courage, and the ability to tell an engaging story.
At the start, participants will learn three film genres, mandatory character archetypes, and elements that must appear in the film. The rest will depend entirely on their imagination 💭
The event is open to everyone — students, applicants, creators, industry professionals (but also people from outside the industry!) and enthusiasts of new technologies. No previous experience with AI is required, although bringing your own laptop and being ready for 48 hours of creative work will be mandatory.
Participants can look forward to prizes, access to professional AI tools, the chance to win a paid internship, and the opportunity to showcase their work within the international creative circuit.
👨🏫 The event is led by Marek Mardosewicz — screenwriter, playwright, and visual creator specializing in working with AI, lecturer at the Warsaw Film School, and founder of blnk studio.
“We are organizing the 48h AI Film Challenge because the market will not wait until creators ‘are ready.’ We want to give them a safe space for risk: 48 hours, new tools, their own emotions, and one goal — to tell a story. Because technology changes, but the need to tell stories remains what makes us human.”
🏁 Start: Friday, May 29, 5:00 PM, Warsaw Film School patio
📍 Final and winners announcement: Sunday, May 31, 2:00 PM
