In case you missed it, we wanted to let you know that we launched a new web show last week. Below are some highlights, plus some extra AI news because we love you all so much! :)
The Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience - Glasgow hosted the most incredible Willy Wonka experience you could ever dream of. Well, not really incredible as much as memorable. And not really dreams as much as nightmares. What appeared to be a promising experience turned out to be just a blow-up house in a warehouse. It's safe to say were a little upset.
Runway's New Motion Brush Feature - Using the multi-motion brush tool in Runway just got even easier! Now, the brush will auto-detect areas in your image to add motion. This feels a tad similar to some of the AI auto-detect features Adobe has.
Pika Labs Lip Sync - Pika Labs launched a new lip sync feature. Honestly, it's not the greatest out there but it really isn't too bad. What it lacks in quality, it makes up for in convenience.
EMO Portrait - A new white paper has been released that showcases the research behind a new tool that animates images based on input audio. The examples seem like they could be the best AI Lip Sync tool we've seen yet.
SORA's Most Underrated Features - We wanted to share some more of our thoughts on OpenAI's new video generator. Honestly, the features that have flown under the radar are likely the best of any tool yet. Psssst… Here's a possible way that you get access to the new tool. ;)
LTX Studio - A new tool is coming soon, and it seems like it could drastically change the workflow of creating an AI Film. If it's as good as it looks, this could be insanely helpful.
Adobe's New AI Music Generator - Adobe recently launched a video talking about an upcoming new tool. This tool can generate music from text prompts, change genres of songs, extend tracks, and so much more.
Project AEON - We wanted to take a moment to say congrats to Dan, a Curious Refuge student, whose company (Project AEON) has joined NVIDIA's Inception Program.
Google's Relaunch Plans - Many of you probably know how Google took down their image generation tool. They are planning to relaunch soon, but it doesn't seem likely they will regain the $70 billion lost.
Chat GPT vs. Google's Gemini - Recently, there has been some back-and-forth competition between these two tools. In reality, Gemini doesn't even come close to Chat GPT. Here are the Google Analytics comparisons.
New Podcast Episode - Last week we launched a new episode of the Podcast with Julie Wieland, also known as Julie W. Design on social media. Julie gives some spectacular practical advice on how to utilize AI in your workflow.
Learn AI Advertising - This week marks the beginning of our first session of AI Advertising! We sold out all of the seats and are blown away by the response! If you didn't get a seat, don't worry. We will have another session in April. You can join the waitlist now! :)
AI Filmmaking's Biggest Session Yet - Enrollment is still open for our March session of AI Filmmaking! If you missed your opportunity for AI Advertising, this would be a great course to take while you are waiting for the April Session!
Who's Sleeping on Mistral? - Last week, Mistral released a new LLM called Mistral Large. In a side-by-side test, Mistral Large took second to Chat GPT 4.0, performing better than Gemini Pro, Claude 2.0, and GPT 3.5.
Microsoft + Mistral - Microsoft seems to be making massive efforts to be a heavy hitter with some of the biggest AI partnerships in the industry. They have a partnership with Mistral, but could it be in jeopardy?
AI Predicts Alzheimer's - Scientists at UC San Francisco have developed a machine that utilizes artificial intelligence to predict early signs of Alzheimer's disease up to 7 years before clinical symptoms manifest.
Yet Another 3D Asset Generator - Argus3D launched this past week on GitHub. What is it? Well, when in doubt, I think it's safe to assume that it's another 3D asset generator.
Google is in More Hot Water - Google has been creating an AI news tool, but it's scraping data without consent. Safe to say, there are a lot of people not happy about it.
Tumblr's AI Plan - Tumblr is trying to benefit from the AI era by pursuing deals with OpenAI and Midjourney for training data. Alright, everybody raise your hand if you have a Tumblr account.
Apple Vision Pro Hype - There's a ton of hype around the release of the Apple Vision Pros. LG and Meta are teaming up to create a similar product.
