The Best AI Video Generators
Below, we rank the best AI Video generators.
AI Video Generator #1. Seedance 2.5
Seedance 2.5 blew the other models out of the water. Bytedance’s latest model has transformed how creatives are using tools like this.
Check out the results below:
Prompt Adherence: 8.78
Temporal Consistency: 9.28
Visual Fidelity: 8.94
Motion Quality: 8.94
Style and Cinematic Realism: 8.78
Overall Score: 8.94/10
Not only is the prompt adherence and realism from Seedance 2.5 incredibly impressive, but the specs are some that we have never seen. From 30-second generations that can be extended to 180 seconds to native 4K generations, that's not even the most impressive part.
Seedance 2.5 allows you to use up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos, and 10 reference audio clips for the most control possible.
The biggest downside is the model’s cost. Make sure to plan accordingly if you are hoping to use this model on your next project!
AI Video Generator #2. Seedance 2.0
A lot of people stopped using Seedance 2.0 once Seedance 2.5 came onto the scene, but we would highly recommend keeping this in your workflow.
Here are the ratings from our tests of Seedance 2.0:
Prompt Adherence: 9.1
Temporal Consistency: 8.1
Visual Fidelity: 8.3
Motion Quality: 8.3
Style and Cinematic Realism: 8.2
Overall Score: 8.40/10
This model creates phenomenal outputs. Sometimes they are not as strong as Seedance 2.5, but this model can really help you refine your shots before spending too much time iterating with Seedance 2.5.
Again, we would highly recommend leveraging this model in your pipeline.
AI Video Generator #3. Kling 4.0
Kling 4.0 is the latest AI Video model from the team at Kling. This model came onto the scene with a ton of hype, but it didn’t seem to outshine all of the other models like previous releases from Kling have done.
Here are the results from the tests:
Prompt Adherence: 9.2
Temporal Consistency: 8.1
Visual Fidelity: 8.2
Motion Quality: 8.3
Style and Cinematic Realism: 8.1
Overall Score: 8.34/10
All in all, Kling 4.0 is a pretty well-rounded tool. The majority of categories score similarly across all tests.
With that said, we would still probably argue that for the price point and consistency, even Seedance 2.0 would be a stronger option.
AI Video Generator #4. Grok Imagine 1.5
Grok’s AI Video model came on our radar when we saw Dave Clark’s ad for their AI Advertising competition a while back.
This model has struggled somewhat to be taken seriously, but it can generate some impressive results.
Here are the results below:
Prompt Adherence: 8.28
Temporal Consistency: 9.1
Visual Fidelity: 8.1
Motion Quality: 7.61
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.72
Overall Score: 8.17/10
Don’t overlook this model. The prompt adherence and temporal consistency are incredibly impressive.
Outside of our tests, we haven’t utilized this model too much in our creative process, but we are planning to begin incorporating it more and more.
AI Video Generator #5. Wan 3.0
Wan 3.0 is a video model from China that is often overlooked. This model made a massive leap from the previous model (Wan 2.7).
Here are the results from the tests:
Prompt Adherence: 8.47
Temporal Consistency: 8.76
Visual Fidelity: 7.41
Motion Quality: 7.71
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.53
Overall Score: 7.98/10
Wan 3.0 really excels with basic camera movements like a slow push-in, static shot, and similar shots.
This model is often overlooked and not utilized because by the time the API became more easily accessible in the West, other models were released.
We would highly recommend exploring this model if you have not yet.
AI Video Generator #6. MiniMax H3
MiniMax H3 came onto the scene with the ability to generate 30-second videos and native audio. This model is talked about by so many people.
Here are the ratings:
Prompt Adherence: 8.72
Temporal Consistency: 9.0
Visual Fidelity: 7.3
Motion Quality: 7.4
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.1
Overall Score: 7.83/10
MiniMax H3 is an open-weight model, not open source. This could be a downside depending on what you are looking for.
This model often struggles with the motion quality of people or animals walking, and the fidelity gets worse the longer your generation is.
The ideal length is under 15 seconds. All this to say, there are tons of opportunities to make beautiful films utilizing MiniMax H3.
AI Video Generator #7. Luma Ray 3.2
When Ray 3.2 came onto the scene, it was one of the top 3 AI video models at that time. As time has passed, other models have passed this model, moving it to be lower in the rankings.
Here are the results from our tests below:
Prompt Adherence: 8.1
Temporal Consistency: 7.5
Visual Fidelity: 7.7
Motion Quality: 7.6
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.6
Overall Score: 7.71/10
If you are establishing world-building scale, outdoor shots, or visually stunning commercial frames, Luma is a strong candidate.
We are expecting to see their next model soon and cannot wait to see it!
AI Video Generator #8. Happy Horse 1.1
Happy Horse 1.1 came from the team at Alibaba and seemed to come out of nowhere.
Here are the results from Happy Horse 1.1:
Prompt Adherence: 8.1
Temporal Consistency: 7.5
Visual Fidelity: 7.3
Motion Quality: 7.7
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.4
Overall Score: 7.63/10
Surprisingly, this model seems to perform better with basic shots involving people. Landscape shots are where it struggled.
This is something not often seen in AI Video models.
Happy Horse 1.1 surprised us when it came on the scene, and we are hopeful to see another model soon!
AI Video Generator #9. Veo 3.1
Veo 3.1 feels like a slightly older model. It has been around for a while now and has always been pretty impressive.
The main reason it is ranked lower is that so many models have been launched since this one came to the public.
Here are the results from our tests of Veo 3.1:
Prompt Adherence: 7.8
Temporal Consistency: 6.8
Visual Fidelity: 7.2
Motion Quality: 7.4
Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.0
Overall Score: 7.25/10
It also features native audio generation directly alongside video creation, which can be a game-changer depending on your workflow pipeline.
If history repeats itself, we expect Veo 4 to launch and shoot straight to the top of the rankings.
AI Video Generator #10. LTX 2.5
LTX 2.5 is the top pick if open-source model customization, privacy, and local hosting are required for your stack.
What you may compromise in quality, you can honestly make up for in cost. With this model being open-source, you can generate over and over again until you get your desired output.
Here are the results from the tests we ran for LTX 2.5:
Prompt Adherence: 7.19
Temporal Consistency: 7.19
Visual Fidelity: 5.94
Motion Quality: 6.25
Style and Cinematic Realism: 5.56
Overall Score: 6.43/10
LTX 2.5 provides accessible weights, allowing filmmakers and tech-savvy creators to fine-tune and host the model locally on their own hardware infrastructure.
This model has limited specs, but it might be worth it if you are looking for a truly open-source model for your projects.
Which AI Video Generator Should You Use?
This is obviously a tough question to answer, but here are our thoughts. It all depends on your project’s needs and budget, visibility, and more.
If Money is Not an Object: Use Seedance 2.5
If Money is Sort of an Object: Use a Combination of Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5
If you need an open-source model: Use LTX 2.5
If an Open Weight Model is Okay: Use MiniMax H3
You also want to ensure that the AI Video model you are planning to use is copyright-compliant with whatever your project requires.
That’s where it may get slightly tricky, so we recommend checking the specific model’s page you are using.
