The Best AI Video Generators (Updated Fall 2025)

The Best AI Video Generators (Updated Fall 2025)

In this article, we’ll rank the top AI Video Generators for Fall of 2025.

The AI tech industry is moving fast. It seems like every week, there are new AI tools flooding the market, this is no less true for AI video generators.

In fact, 12 of these 13 AI Video generators listed have come onto the scene this year alone.

Our team has been working hard to take each of these tools to their limits with the goal of helping you know which is the best AI video generator in the fall of 2025.

We tested each of these AI video generators across 18 prompts and 5 different categories: Prompt adherence, temporal consistency, visual fidelity, motion quality, and cinematic realism.

We are excited to share a deep dive of our findings with you. Let’s hop in.

Best AI Video Generators Fall 2025

Below is a list of the best AI Video Generators of Fall 2025.

1. Seedance Pro 1.0

  • Prompt Consistency: 7.3/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 7.2/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 7.3/10

  • Motion Quality: 7.4/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 7.0/10

  • Total Score: 7.3/10

Seeddance Pro is the best AI video generator of Fall 2025.

For some, the interface might be difficult as it typically needs a third party API to run. I typically use fal.ai and have become pretty familiar with the tool, but you can use other tools like Freepik or Krea to run Seedance online as well.

Generated Using Seedance Pro 1.0

With 12-second native 1080p generations at 24 frames per second, Seedance can produce stunning realism at both micro and macro levels.

We can honestly say without any doubt that Seedance Pro 1.0 is the most reliable tool on the market, even if it isn’t perfect.

Seedance Pro 1.0

Kling 2.1 Master

Luma Labs Ray 2

Seedance doesn’t come without quirks such as slight overexposure in its generations, but most of its issues are easy to work around in post production. In terms of realism and quality, it’s usually the best.

2. Google Veo 3

  • Prompt Consistency: 8.2/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 6.8/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 6.5/10

  • Motion Quality: 7.5/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 6.7/10

  • Total Score: 7.1/10

Veo 3 is one of the most advanced tools available. Leave it to Google to create what many think of as the best AI video generators on the market.

Veo 3 generates videos in 1080p up to 8 seconds long at 24 frames per second.

Veo 3

Seedance Pro 1.0

The comparison above is a great example of the difference between Seedance Pro and Veo 3. Both are decent shots, but the details and physics in Veo 3’s generations do not hold up as well as Seedance Pro.

Most people give Veo 3 the number one rank due to its ability to generate sound effects and lip sync with every video. However, the quality of the lip sync isn’t quite silver-screen ready quite yet, and the sound effects aren’t always realistic. They are helpful, but if not slightly uncanny…

If you have a Google Ultra account you can get unlimited ‘Fast’ generations using Google VEO 3 which can help you save a lot of time and money.

Veo 3

All in all, Veo 3 is a powerhouse and we cannot wait to see what Google launches next. A Google Ultra account with VEO 3 Fast is the best deal in AI filmmaking. #unlimitedvideo

3. Luma Lab’s Ray 3

  • Prompt Consistency: 8.2/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 6.3/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 6.8/10

  • Motion Quality: 6.8/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 6.9/10

  • Total Score: 7.0/10

Luma Labs released Luma Ray 3 in September and the quality of the generations from the tool is very impressive.

Ray 3 can generate videos up to 10 seconds long in 1080p and 24 frames per second. They also have additional HDR and EXR support which help with getting maximum color control from your generation. The additional enhancement in color comes at the cost of the resolution as HDR and EXR are only supported in 720p.

Most importantly, Ray 3 has an amazing draft mode that allows you to quickly preview your generations before commiting to the longer generation.

There are also additional editing tools for doing quick in-painting and edits inside the tool.

Long story short, Luma 3 is incredibly smart, has expert features, and is thinking about high-end post production in a way that is incredibly helpful for professionals. If you go with Luma you won’t regret it.

4. Minimax Hailuo 2

  • Prompt Consistency: 7.0/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 5.2/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 5.2/10

  • Motion Quality: 5.1/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 4.6/10

  • Total Score: 5.4/10

Minimax (also known as Hailuo) is honestly a tool that is often forgotten in the AI video space. However, the tool is very impressive when generating dynamic movement, and it specifically excels with animation-style visuals.

Minimax Hailuo 2

Luma Labs Ray 2

Moonvalley’s Marey

Minimax generates videos in 1080p up to 10 seconds long at 25 frames per second.

Minmax is a great option when you are trying to generate VFX such as fire or explosions, but it is not uncommon for it to struggle with realism in its generations.

The shot below is a great example. The explosion is very impressive, but the character struggles with the physics.

Minimax Hailuo 2

5. MidJourney Video

  • Prompt Consistency: 5.9/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 5.8/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 4.1/10

  • Motion Quality: 5.1/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 3.1/10

  • Total Score: 5.0/10

There was a lot of anticipation for Midjourney’s AI Video generator. They are by far the best AI image tool so there were plenty of expectations that the same might be true for Video generation.

Midjourney video isn’t quite as good as some of the other tools on this list, but the quality can be decent depending on the shot and project.

You can see pretty clearly in the shot below that the physics of the water is not very good. This is pretty true among a lot of the video generations from Midjourney Video.

Midjourney Video

You can generate videos up to 20 seconds long in 1080p and 24 frames per second using Midjourney video.

One major perk of Midjourney video is the fact that there’s a high probability that you are already generating images, so having the ability to quickly animate them is a huge perk.

6. Kling AI 2.1

  • Prompt Consistency: 6.3/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 4.2/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 4.5/10

  • Motion Quality: 4.3/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 3.7/10

  • Total Score: 4.6/10

Kling has been at the top of this list many times.

This current model has recently become more outdated than previous models, but it has been around decently longer compared to others on the list.

You can see the performance pretty well in the video comparisons below. The physics of the water outperforms the other two videos, but it doesn’t understand the need to keep the lemonade inside the cup.

Kling 2.1

Higgsfield

Runway Gen-4

Kling 2.1 can generate clips up to 10 seconds long at 1080p in 24 frames per second. While it is an incredible tool, it probably wouldn’t be our first choice for most image-to-video situations at the moment.

Right now, Kling truly excels with its first and last frame abilities. You can define not only the start frame but also the end frame. This makes it perfect for creating very specific and dynamic shots.

We are hoping and expecting something soon from the team at Kling and cannot wait to see what is in store.

7. Runway Gen-4

  • Prompt Consistency: 5.6/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 4.1/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 4.4/10

  • Motion Quality: 4.0/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 3.3/10

  • Total Score: 4.3/10

Runway helped ignite a massive wave of AI filmmaking with Gen-2. Gen-4 remains solid, but it’s already becoming outdated.

Runway Gen-4 generates videos up to 10 seconds long at 1080p and 24 frames per second.

In the shot below, you can see it struggles in visual fidelity, physical movements, and realism.

The thing that makes Runway stand out is Runway Aleph. Aleph has redefined the whole workflow for filmmakers by allowing you to simply upload footage and edit it with a simple text prompt. It’s like having the ability to prompt VFX changes to your shots.

Check out our Aleph tutorial below!

Runway is also great at performance transfer. Using Runway Act Two you can take a video performance and project it onto an image of a character. It’s like having a virtual puppet and it is incredibly helpful for filmmaking.

8. Higgsfield

  • Prompt Consistency: 4.8/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 3.4/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 4.1/10

  • Motion Quality: 3.6/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 2.8/10

  • Total Score: 3.7/10

Higgsfield recieved its fame originally from its fast-paced camera movements and impressive AI cinematography.

Higgsield’s generation quality isn’t the best, generating videos up to 5 seconds long at 720p at 30 frames per second; it’s now more known for its API integration than it is for its own AI Video Generator,

Generated Using Higgsfield

Generated Using Higgsfield

Higgsfield can definitely create some insane camera tricks, but you can expect to use up some credits before you find one that meets the standard and vision of your project.

Its presets are undeniably fun, but its dependability for serious filmmaking is inconsistent.

9. Wan 2.2

  • Prompt Consistency: 5.5/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 4.2/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 3.8/10

  • Motion Quality: 3.1/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 1.1/10

  • Total Score: 3.5/10

Wan 2.2 is in its own category. This AI video generator isn’t really like any of the others because it is open-source and free to run (as long as you have a computer beefy enough to run it).

As an open-source tool Wan 2.2 can be tricky for the average creator to use. We typically use this tool inside of Krea to help with ease of use, but you are free to download the tool directly to your machine.

In the examples below, you can see both the low visual quality and the need for frame interpolation.

Wan 2.2

Wan 2.2

The output resolution of this AI video generator is possibly one of its weakest features. You can generate shots up to 10 seconds at 720p and 24 frames per second, but most of the generations seem to need some additional frame interpolation.

The quality is consistently pretty average, and creating anything close to realistic footage is nearly impossible.

10. Moonvalley

  • Prompt Consistency: 3.1/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 2.7/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 4.1/10

  • Motion Quality: 3.4/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 2.6/10

  • Total Score: 3.2/10

Moonvalley got some major hype whenever they released their latest AI video generator, Marey.

Moonvalley is one of the first AI video models to be trained on 100% licensed data. This means you can use their tools and know that 100% of the outputs are legally cleared for any production.

Marey can generate shots up to 10 seconds long with 1080p resolution at 24 frames per second.

Marey by Moonvalley

Marey by Moonvalley

Marey by Moonvalley

Sadly, the current version of Marey doesn’t quite meet professional standards in terms of quality.

Hoever, Moonvalley is definitely laying the groundwork for the future and we wouldn’t be surprised if their second or third version became helpful tools for filmmakers.

11. OpenAI Sora

  • Prompt Consistency: 1.5/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 1.4/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 2.4/10

  • Motion Quality: 1.4/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 1.4/10

  • Total Score: 1.6/10

When SORA was announced, we thought (as we are sure you probably did) that it was going to change the world of filmmaking.

When the tool came, it felt like Christmas, then when we began using it, it felt more like we got the wrong present, right?

In all honesty, this tool has some pretty impressive specs: videos up to 20 seconds long, 1080p resolution, and 30 frames per second, but generating typically takes too long, it’s expensive, and the generations are not good.

Higgsfield

Seedance Pro 1.0

Our hope is that over time, OpenAI is able to put some more resources into making SORA what we all thought it would be the first time.

12. Pika Labs

  • Prompt Consistency: 1.9/10

  • Temporal Consistency: 1.4/10

  • Visual Fidelity: 1.3/10

  • Motion Quality: 1.4/10

  • Style and Cinematic Realism: 1.3/10

  • Total Score: 1.5/10

There was a day when we would have said that Pika Lab’s AI Video generator was the best on the market, and at that time, it was.

Pika Lab’s AI Video generator can generate videos up to 10 seconds long in 1080p and 24 frames per second.

Pika Labs

Pika Labs

Pika Labs

As you can see from the examples above, the visual fidelity and realism is a major issue when generating using Pika Labs.

Pika Labs has charm, quirky presets, and a fun app geared toward social sharing. The chances are, you’ve probably seen a video on social media that somebody used pika to create, and you didn’t even know it.

If we are talking about professional filmmaking, then Pika Lab’s AI video generator misses the mark.

Notable Mention: Adobe Firefly Video

Adobe Firefly Video can generate clips up to 5 seconds long in 1080p at 24 frames per second. These specs aren’t bad, but unfortunately the tool doesn’t allow you to upload your own images.

Along with that, the output can be very inconsistent in terms of quality. Similar to Marey, Adobe’s video model is copyright cleared, but the current model isn’t quite up to the standards of some of the other AI video tools on this list.
