Create a Volcano in After Effects
Let’s blow up this mountain. Here’s how to create a volcano in After Effects.
You know that part of you that is obsessed with lava? The part that can’t stop watching people poke lava with sticks? Or drop hot nickel balls on stuff? Well today that part of you is in luck. In this After Effects tutorial I’m going to show you how to create a volcano in After Effects.
This tutorial will take a look at a few different techniques. The biggest technique being tracking objects into 3D space. While it may seem easy to just throw 3D Camera Tracker onto an orange shape and call it a day there is quite a few different things we can do to the lava to make it more realistic. Namely, by perfecting the color can composite we can make the lave more realistic in the scene.
