Nano Banana 2 Test #1: Stylized Image Test

We pushed the model into a "Neon Noir" world with heavy reflections and anamorphic lens flares.

Nano Banana 2 nailed the atmosphere. The reflections were physically plausible, though some elements felt a bit "too perfect."

If you use these results as a base layer, then bring them into your favorite editor for some added grain and imperfection.

Nano Banana 2 Test #2: Realism Image Test

To test the "uncanny valley," we went for a macro close-up of a human eye with heavy mascara.

This test was a shocker. The texture of the skin and the moisture in the eye were indistinguishable from a real photograph. For high-fidelity close-ups, Nano Banana 2 is a beast.

We asked for a teardown view of a Google Pixel smartphone, including the chips and circuitry.

Nano Banana 2 handled the complex mechanical textures with ease. If you're doing product mockups, this model is a massive time-saver.

We tested a classic AI weakness: a wide shot of a European city with a massive crowd.

From a distance, it looks great. But zoom in, and you’ll find the dreaded "spaghetti limbs." For wide shots with crowds, you’ll still need to rely on upscalers or post-production fixes.

Google claims Nano Banana 2 is a typography king. We tested a poster for a film titled Silence.

We took a photo of a restaurant menu and asked the AI to swap the items while keeping the font and layout.

Nano Banana 2 maintained the design integrity while swapping the text. This makes Nano Banana 2 an incredible tool for UI/UX designers and localization teams.

Consistency is the "Holy Grail" of AI filmmaking. We took one character and put them in a fantasy mountain range, an alien world, and a concert.

The likeness remained remarkably stable. It's not 100% perfect yet, but it’s getting dangerously close.

Nano Banana 2 Test #9: Multi-Character Scene Test

Nano Banana 2 now supports up to five consistent characters in a single frame.

We successfully placed five reference characters at a restaurant table. This opens up massive opportunities for narrative storytelling where you need a consistent "cast."

We asked the model to take Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks style and apply it to a sci-fi spaceship interior.

It captured the moody lighting and brushwork perfectly. Great for "vibing out" a scene before you go into full production.

This was the most impressive test. Most AI image editors have the ability to edit images, but after you continue to edit them, the image typically completely changes after multiple iterations. Nano Banana 2 does a phenomenal job at staying consistent.

We took a photo and made four sequential changes: wine glasses, sweaters, candlelight, and a rooftop setting.

Usually, AI images "fall apart" after three edits. Nano Banana 2 held the composition together through the entire process. This is now a viable tool for iterative creative sessions.

Nano Banana 2 is a massive leap forward for anyone who needs speed without sacrificing quality. It’s faster, cheaper, and its text handling is among the best in the industry.
